Random from September 2011

Rohnin got to visit Haven's Oncology doctors in September.  We let them look but informed them they won't get to medicate this one!!!!  She had a lot of fun seeing lots of new faces.

Here is Haven - proud of her port.

Accessing her port.  Haven wears a mask so she doesn't see it happening.

Sadly her favorite nurse that has been with her for 4 years was leaving.  This would be the last time Haven would see Katie as she was advancing her schooling and career from an Oncology nurse to a doctor!  We miss you Katie.

Just a random funny photo of Rohnin eating....

She honestly makes some of the funniest faces.

Rehoboth Beach, DE

Well....we took a day in August to go to Rehoboth Beach, DE to visit Dog Fish Head Brewery.....needless to say we are not beach people and the fact that there was NO WHERE to park helped our decision to turn around and leave immediately...but we did find an awesome restaurant to stop at -- Crabby Dicks!

This is Fowler Beach.  We saw the sign and had to do a quick turn to check it out.  It is actually a sanctuary for horseshoe crabs.

I had to take this picture because when have you ever seen it written as Pasketti!!!

So at Crabby Dicks we that it was hilarious how their menu was written!  Kris had to try the fried hard crab just because of the description.

Here is the crab with balls!

While waiting Kris decided he would sketch up the crab on the menu!  Pretty dang awesome.....

My girl...laughing that the appetizer was popcorn!

Rohnin playing with Deez

Beautiful East Coast Driving

One of our favorite places in PA - Codorus State Park

Awesome house on the little river

 Love it!

My artist daughter took a bunch of pictures - I really love this one

Teaching Deezy to swim....didn't work very well

Baby not a fan of the water at all

Rolling hills of Maryland

Love the roads that are covered in trees

Cute old cottages being restored in MD

Deezy chasing geese at a park in MD

Haven's favorite restaurant....I never stepped inside and was afraid to eat the food!

Beautiful house on the bay about 2 miles from our house

Not a cool house in Havre De Grace.....seriously.

Our favorite shooting range.....

After a while of driving we started noticing that MOST of Maryland was turning into this....no trees and lots of equipment.....

It really is too sad.  We took a lot of these to compare what it will be like in 5 years!

Atlantic City, New Jersey

We took a trip to Atlantic City with Grandma and Grandpa.  Since daddy and Haven had never been there we wanted to let them see what it was like!  All I could remember from college days was the mall.  Which has changed drastically!

As you can see, one munchkin was excited to go!

Hitting the beach was not an easy task with a stroller....so after getting stuck a little bit we turned around and headed back to the boardwalk!

My Haven hanging out on the boardwalk.  It was a very hot day!

A store called "SUGAR"....and it was all about sugar.  Not the best store for a ROHHAD child! ;)

The biggest box of NERDS we've ever seen!

After a change of clothes we're back in business!

The shore view from inside the mall.

East or West --- I'll take an East Coast beach any day over a rocky, sharp drop off West Coast ocean!

Inside the mall they have seating area overlooking the ocean that make you feel like you are sitting on the beach!  It was a very cool change from when I was there last.

One of the fountains you overlook on the upper level

Haven hanging at the desert oasis inside the mall.  We had a lot of fun...

Because she's hilarious!

Just because she makes me laugh!!!

Gettysburg with Gma and Gpa

In July (not on the reenactment weekend) we headed to Gettysburg with Grandma and Grandpa.  I have probably been to Gburg 5 billion times in my life - only half the amount of times my mom and dad have been there.  I still love it and am happy to be able to share it with the girls.

We went to a state park near Gettysburg, but still in Maryland.  I can't remember the name now.  But it had vultures and owls and a cool inside museum.  My mom is showing Haven her owl wing span here! :)

Rohnin - not a fan of stuffed turkeys!

Haven hanging out at an old kitchen set up

The best restaurant in Gettysburg - The Dobbin Inn.....amazing bread and cool atmosphere!

My mom and Haven checking the menu for lunch items!

My girl forcing a smile for me as she didn't want to take the picture because people were watching!

Hanging at the Jenny Wade house.  Haven really loved learning about her.

Little Round Top....one of my favorite areas of the park...and Devil's Den!  But on the other side of the top of the hill was the magnificent Chamberlain.  My dad can't even deny he was awesome!  If you get the chance to visit here you have to go!

So how many of you have been to Gettysburg?  Done one of the ghost tours? Walk the cemetery late late at night? Pretended to do Pickett's Charge and run the entire length of the field to the Angle?

ROHHAD in Ireland

I received this story in my email today. It still shocks me that my daughter has ROHHAD. It's a horrible disease that destroys a child...
