Easter

Haven started Easter morning off at 7am and more excitement than at Christmas. She loves the Easter bunny and hunting the eggs....We set out "Skittles" the night before for the bunny. Some reason the "bunny" likes Skittles!

After a quick wake up to Haven already dressed for the day we set out to find the eggs that the bunny had left.

First stop - the Peach Tree.....A very excited Haven finds her first eggs of jelly beans.

Next we headed to Grandpa and Grandma's yard - which was filled with eggs and a basket of goodies. Seems the bunny left Alice in Wonderland the Un-Anniversary edition and eggs on their porch for Haven.

More eggs surrounding the porch at G&G's house.

Seems to be a secret egg behind Haven......she finally found that one around 6pm that evening!

Deezy also had a great Easter. She got a basket from the bunny as well - it had a large stuffed animal "Flea" in it that said Bite Me on it and a box of puppy treats.

We had a wonderful dinner at G&G's --- I requested a big brown sugar covered ham for Easter and my birthday. We celebrated it all together and it was YUMMY!

Thank you everyone for the cards and boxes of Easter presents for Miss Haven.....Deezy even got a new necklace from Gpa B-Off and Gma Sing! She loves it!

All of my friends that sent cards to Haven - thank you very much!!! Love to all!!!

First Vet Visit

This is the two of them after Nikki's first vet visit with us. Nikki did very well. She was a bit nervous and Haven was upset that she had to go. She didn't want Nikki to be sad. Haven came with me so she could see what it looked like and what they did to her puppy. The vet was very happy with all the info we got with her. Everything is up to date and she said Nikki is in perfect health - which we knew.

She started her heart worm and flea medication today. So she will do this once a month. Her next vet visit in Dec. 19th for her next round of shots. Haven will go to make sure Nikki doesn't cry or feel lonely.

She loves laying on Haven. For Haven, a pretty smart 5 year old, she thought it would help when discussing a "baby" as either a "skin baby" or a "fur baby". Since Deez is furry she is a fur baby and when Haven was a baby she was a skin baby. It's amazing the things they can come up with.

Welcoming Nikki

Yesterday morning we were in the car by 8am to head out to Frederick to pick up Nikki. We were all very excited - I was also happy Haven brought the DS. She is usually driving me crazy about 2 miles in to the drive and we have 2 hours to go. My only concern was the stairs when we got their....I hadn't fallen in 1 day and didn't want to fall yesterday.

When we got there all the babies were still there waiting to be picked up. I was surprised but no one wanted the ears cropped or the fur cut. They are just so cute. How could you not love these babies.
Haven holding Miss Nikkideez. We're still slowly working on holding her. She's a bit big for Haven. But she sure is adorable!!!

Nikki did great in the car. We have a 2 hour drive and she went straight to sleep and slept the entire drive. When we got home we took her outside to start getting used to her surroundings. Haven has been doing great with her.

My dad came over to check out the new baby. She is just too cute. They kinda wandered around on the deck for a while.

Haven and Nikki sat down to watch iCarly. Haven said Nikki told her that it was her favorite show. Not sure I agree....but they were talking to each other.

I just love when she lays on Haven's belly. It's so cute. She loves doing this. Everytime Haven sits down Nikki crawls up on her.

Playing with one of her many toys.

She actually fell asleep with Haven rubbing her belly. It was so cute.

Nikki did great for her first night away from her brothers and sister. We expected more crying and stuff. She did a little cry around 11pm and I took her out and she pottied then she slept the rest of the night until about 6am. She was crying and I took her out and she pottied again. We are very happy she is adjusting so well.

ROHHAD in Ireland

I received this story in my email today. It still shocks me that my daughter has ROHHAD. It's a horrible disease that destroys a child...
